Who is responsible
Yasser Jugoo operates Hummingbird Design Lab, the website-services branch of Hummingbird Development Studio, and is responsible for the enquiry information described here. These studio names are trading brands, not a claim that a separate company has been incorporated.

Visiting this website
This is an informational website. Its page code contains no enquiry forms, accounts, checkout, advertising pixels or analytics tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled for this site. We have not added tracking cookies or browser-storage features.
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering and protecting it involves processing technical request information, which can include IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and request times. Cloudflare may process this information for delivery, security, abuse prevention and its own operational purposes. This means that visiting a static website is not the same as no data being processed. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Technical information retained by Cloudflare follows its applicable service arrangements and privacy policy, rather than our email-enquiry retention period. Security features may involve cookies or similar technical measures. We do not claim that hosting involves no logs or cookies.
Email enquiries
The email link opens your own email application. It does not send anything until you choose to send an email. We receive the address, name and other information you include, together with ordinary email metadata.
We use enquiry information to respond, discuss your requested services and prepare a quote. Please provide only what is needed; do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information. Providing this information is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer a request without sufficient details.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we process the necessary enquiry information for those requested steps. For other business enquiries and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to requested business contact and operating a secure website, balanced against your rights. We use information for a legal obligation only where that obligation applies.
Our contact mailbox is provided by Google/Gmail. Your own email provider also processes messages you send. See Google's privacy policy.
We use enquiry emails only to reply and prepare quotes. We do not automatically add enquirers to a marketing mailing list. If an agreed project requires additional data handling, we explain that separately.
AI assistance with enquiries
We use OpenAI/ChatGPT assistance to help prepare replies and quotes. This can involve sharing relevant parts of your enquiry, including your name, email address and message text, with OpenAI. We limit the information used to what is needed for that task. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, health information or other sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
Yasser remains responsible for communications and approval of quotes. AI assistance does not itself accept an order, make a binding decision about you or commit you to a contract. Enquiry information is used for the reply and quotation purposes described above, not to add you automatically to marketing.
OpenAI processes information under the terms and settings of the service used. See OpenAI's privacy policy for its handling of personal information. We do not promise that every provider applies the same retention or model-training settings. Contact us if you have a concern about AI-assisted handling before sending additional information.
Retention and international processing
We normally delete unsuccessful enquiries six months after the last substantive exchange, unless particular records are needed longer to meet a legal requirement or deal with a dispute. Records for an agreed project are handled under the retention information supplied for that project. Provider backups may follow a separate deletion cycle.
Cloudflare, Google and OpenAI operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Mauritius, including in the United States. Their linked privacy policies explain their international processing and safeguards. You may contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to our use of these services.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request erasure or restriction, or object to processing. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact yasserjugoo@gmail.com; we may need proportionate information to verify a request.
You may also contact the Mauritius Data Protection Office about a privacy concern. Contacting us first does not remove your right to complain.
Changes
We update this notice when the website or enquiry handling changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. New forms, analytics or integrations require an updated assessment and notice before use.
